Feather IT Acquires Minecraft Server Listing Platform 'MineSquare'
Feather IT has acquired 'MineSquare', a Minecraft server listing platform.
MineSquare is a discovery platform where users can explore and compare the many Minecraft servers scattered across the country, all in one place. Players can easily find a server that suits them by browsing each server's genre, player count, and features, while server operators can promote their servers to a wider audience of players.
This acquisition is an extension of Feather IT's move to put its game infrastructure business into full gear. Earlier, the company entered the territory of "creating" game servers with the launch of its game server cloud service 'GiGAPlus,' and through this acquisition of MineSquare it now also covers the territory of "discovering and connecting" the servers that have been created.
Feather IT envisions building an integrated ecosystem that links GiGAPlus (game server hosting) with MineSquare (server discovery) to support the entire game operation process, from the stage of creating a server to the stage of gathering players. Through this, the company aims to deliver a better experience to both game server operators and players.
A Feather IT representative said, "MineSquare is a platform already trusted by many Minecraft communities," adding, "By combining it with Feather IT's infrastructure capabilities, we will further strengthen its role as the most convenient bridge connecting server operators and players."
Following the acquisition, the company plans to keep MineSquare's existing service running stably while progressively adding integration features with GiGAPlus.
More details about the service are available on the MineSquare official website.
